PREMEDICAL COURSE OVERVIEW
The PREMEDICAL COURSE is organized by the Medical University of Gdansk. The PREMED COURSE aims to meet the needs of high school graduates who wish to pursue a medical education but who have taken few or none of the core science courses required for successful preparation to medical school.
The course lasts form November 2012 to May 2013 and is divided into two semesters. All classes are conducted in English.
Graduation of PREMEDICAL COURSE gives participant an opportunity to by accepted for the 6-year M.D. program at the Medical University of Gdansk in academic year 2013/2014.

- Medical Terminology I

- Introduction to Anatomy and Physiology
- Introduction to Cytophysiology and Microscopis Anatomy
- Organic Chemistry
- Medical Terminology II
- English Language Course II
- Polish Language Course II
ADMISSION
Candidates for admission to the PREMEDICAL COURSE should register in electronic candidate database and submit all the required documents (see below) by regular mail to the University Admission Office at the Medical University of Gdansk between 1st May and 25th July 2012. Applicants must be at least high school graduates.
Applicants for a 6-year M.D. program at the Medical University of Gdansk who have not been accepted are welcome to apply for the PREMEDICAL COURSE.
- a completed application form (printed after registration in electronic database)
- a copy of High School Diploma or its equivalent and a copy of the relevant school documents- all in candidate’s native language certified by candidate’s school or by a public notary
- an English translation of the above original documents, translated and certificated by candidate’s school or by a sworn translator
- a photocopy of the applicant’s passport certified by a public notary
- two recent (size 35mm-45mm) photographs signed at the back (head not covered)
